The Passion Behind the Legends
My name is Tiziano, I’m almost 40 years old, and I was born in Italy, where I still live today.
Football has been my passion since I was a child, and I owe that to my grandfather, a die-hard AS Roma supporter. I have vivid memories of him taking me to the stadium in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Back then, most of my classmates were Milan or Inter fans (as was trendy at the time), but I stood firm: I supported Roma.
I remember the endless conversations with my grandfather, Pietro (Peter), as he told me about legends I had never even heard of—Boniperti, Ghiggia, Zoff, Rivera, Schiaffino, Mazzola (father and son), and many more. My imagination ran wild, picturing these legendary players. Driven by curiosity, I started buying sports magazines (in Italy, we had the Guerin Sportivo) and collecting VHS tapes of football’s greatest legends.
As I grew older, my passion only intensified. With the rise of the internet, a whole new world opened up for me. I started collecting rare newspapers, foreign magazines like El Gráfico, old VHS tapes of classic matches, rare interviews, and so much more. I didn’t just watch football on TV—I traveled to stadiums across Italy and Europe, watching World Cup and Champions League matches.
Seeing football live changes everything. On TV, you only see a fraction of what happens. But in the stadium, you feel the energy, the movement, the intelligence of a player off the ball. I’ll never forget witnessing Rooney’s sheer physical dominance, Raul’s tactical brilliance, and Totti’s unmatched vision.
To me, football is a modern battlefield, where two armies are led by strategic masterminds. And the most fascinating part? The unpredictability—anything can happen, no two moments are ever the same. That’s what makes this sport so magical.

From Passion to Project
Over the last 15 years, I’ve deepened my knowledge of past players, speaking with former footballers, ex-coaches, scouts, even a Real Madrid talent spotter from the ‘50s and ‘60s. My obsession with football history led me to create my first Legends Databases for Football Manager, which became a huge success.
I always wanted to share my passion and knowledge with as many people as possible. That’s where my second passion—technology—came into play. For years, I worked in web development, and one day, I realized I could finally bring my dream to life: a fully searchable Football Legends Database.
And that’s how dx84tech was born.
You might wonder, why such a strange domain name? Well, I originally bought it as a testing ground for projects. I had dreamed of a Legends Database for years, but I didn’t know how to bring it to life. Then, one day, I decided to go all in.
I dedicated months of my life to building this site from scratch. I designed the layout, developed the search system, and manually added thousands of players, skill tables, historical stats, and much more. And then, something incredible happened.
A Worldwide Community of Football Lovers
Today, this site is visited by hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world—from Bangladesh to South Africa, from the USA to South Korea.
Every day, I receive emails from people thanking me, telling me how much they love exploring the legends of football history. And that, more than anything, fills me with joy. It gives me the energy to keep improving the site, despite all the challenges life has thrown my way.
Recently, I have even started receiving donations from people across the globe, and for that, I can only say GRAZIE, THANK YOU.

How You Can Help Keep This Dream Alive
This project exists because of you. Your passion, your messages, and your support are what allow it to grow and improve.
I have always kept dx84tech completely free and ad-free, but maintaining it comes at a cost—server fees, hosting, premium plugins, and development expenses. That’s why I need your help to continue expanding and improving it.
If this site has ever given you joy, helped you relive old football memories, or discover new legends, consider supporting it. Even a small donation—just the price of a coffee—makes a difference.
Together, we can keep the Legends alive for future generations.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Tiziano
